Spring Reading Thing 2009

Spring is here!
That means it's time for another Spring Reading Thing at Callapidder Days. This time I have a mix of classics, nonfiction, and children's/YA books on my reading list. My primary goal is to finish several books I've previously started but have put aside until later, and those are marked with an asterisk.

*The Screwtape Letters (CS Lewis)
*The Fountainhead (Ayn Rand)
*The Return of the King (JRR Tolkien)
*Good News for Those Trying Harder (Alan Kraft)
Brave New World (Aldous Huxley)
Coraline (Neil Gaiman)
The Hunger Games
(Suzanne Collins)
Same Kind of Different As Me (Ron Hall and Denver Moore)

Looks like a good list - Brave New World and The Hunger Games should fit together pretty well!

Yes, I'm trying to finish up a few abandoned books as well...

I'm also very curious about Coraline -- I've heard good things about it. And I recently downloaded The Hunger Games for my iPod, so even though it's not officially on my list, I might be "reading" it this spring anyway.

Thanks for being part of Spring Reading Thing '09!

I loved Same Kind of Different As Me -- in fact, after reading it I bought a couple copies to give as gifts. Hope you like it, too :)

Good list! I want to read The Screwtape Letters. Have fun reading this spring.

I just order Hunger Games, since it was a recommended read by Stephenie Meyer (author of Twilight)...I am looking forward to it.
