I Have Seen Him in the Watchfires (Cathy Gohlke): This is the sequel to Gohlke's excellent William Henry Is a Fine Name.

The Mysterious Benedict Society and The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey (Trenton Lee Stewart): I've been listening to the first book on audio. A group of four gifted students join a secret mission to infiltrate the base of a criminal mastermind after passing a series of puzzles and tests. It reminds me a little of The Series of Unfortunate Events but the humor is much more subtle.
Good News for Those Trying Harder (Alan Kraft): My pastor wrote this book!

I'll be reviewing these books for CFBA in January:
Kiss (Ted Dekker and Erin Healy)
Gatekeepers (Robert Liparulo)

Those sound interesting!!!!
Come see my list.
I read a little bit of the Mysterious Benedict Society while waiting for my kids to choose their books at the library and it seemed interesting.
I checked out the Mysterious Benedict Society at our library and started it last night during a well needed hot soak in the tub. I find it charming and an easy read. I am already about 1/3 of the way thru it. thanks for the suggestion....mom
