One of my favorite memories as a Mom happened when my daughter Isabelle was 2 or 3. As every Mom knows, finding time alone when you have little ones at home can be a challenge. One morning when we still lived in a rather small apartment, I decided to take a bath and read with the door open while Isabelle played in the hallway with some toys. I didn't see or hear her for a few minutes, which usually meant trouble was afoot. I called out, "Isabelle, what are you doing?"
A little voice yelled back, "I'm just PLAYin' with my PEE!"
I leaped out of the tub, grabbed a towel, and prepared for a sight like the time she had poured ketchup all over the kitchen floor and rubbed it on her arms like lotion. But instead of a mess, I found my sharp preschooler standing in front of the refrigerator with a magnetic P in her hand. Not only was this a great relief, it was the first time I realized she had been learning her letters!

Very cute, my kids always get me with that letter "p" trick. There is "p" on the living room rug, I found "p" in the front hall.
I don't even make peas with dinner any more because someone always peas on the floor!
:)
She wasn't trying to trick me and said it in innocence. *I* assumed she meant something entirely different.
ROFL She had no idea!! That's adorable!!!
