Fall into Reading 2007

I'm joining Katrina's Fall into Reading 2007 to take care of a chunk of my ever-expanding reading list. (The first two are also on my list for this month's Cozy Mystery Challenge.) See my Shelfari List for more about the books I'll be reading.

Fiction:
  • Jane and the Unpleasantness at Scargrave Manor (Stephanie Barron)
  • Hazardous Duty (Christy Barritt)
  • Snow Flower and the Secret Fan (Lisa See)
  • Sophie's World (Jostein Gaarder)
  • Northanger Abbey (Jane Austen)
  • The Railway Children (Edith Nesbit)
  • The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes (Arthur Conan Doyle)
  • Velma Still Cooks in Leeway (Vinita Hampton Wright)
  • Hollywood Nobody (Lisa Samson)
  • Doesn't She Look Natural? (Angela Hunt)
  • A Thousand Splendid Suns (Khaled Hosseini)

Non-Fiction:
  • The Jesus Creed (Scot McKnight)
  • Mere Christianity (CS Lewis)
  • The Well-Adjusted Child (Rachel Gathercole)
  • Justice in the Burbs (Will and Lisa Samson)
  • Animal, Vegetable, Miracle (Barbara Kingsolver)
I've already made some tweaks to my list, so I'm not sure what it will look like when I'm finished adding and removing (mostly adding). If I don't get them all read by December 21, I'll just bump them to my 2008 list.

Doesn't appear that we'll be reading any of the same books for Katrina's challenge, but that's okay! If I like "Kite Runner", I'll read his other one, "A Thousand Splendid Suns".

Good luck with your list! =)

Except the Austen and the CS Lewis, I'm not familiar with the other books.

Just goes to show how much literature there is to read out there.

Enjoy!

I almost put "Surprised by Joy" on my list (By CS Lewis) but then upon perusing it decided it was too deep for this moment in time! (Which means that I REALLY need to read it, but don't feel up to it at the moment)

I've been purposefully reading Jane Austen's books, but haven't read that one yet. I did read Mere Christianity -- it makes you think!

Happy reading!
