WFMW: Squeaky Shoes

A local children's consignment store had a clearance sale on squeaky shoes, shoes from China that have a squeaker in the insoles. I picked up a pair for my 22-month-old daughter, and she has been squeaking with delight ever since she put them on, even though they're still a little big for her.

The noise does get obnoxious quickly and this type of shoe wouldn't be the best choice for every occasion. But as quickly as toddlers can get away from you, these shoes would be great for trips to crowded places to help keep an eye (or an ear) on your little one. And they're just fun! They really suit a toddler's "Hey everybody! Look at me!!!" outlook on life.

If you'd like to get a pair of squeaky shoes or sandals, check out the selection at Angel Covers, which supports orphans in China, Russia, Africa, and other areas. For more Works for Me Wednesday ideas, visit Rocks in My Dryer.

I think my toddler would love squeaking shoes even more than the light up ones.

I love these kind of shoes. I bought a lot of these kind of squeaky shoes when we were in China adopting our daughter. On most of them you can pull the squeaker out pretty easily if they get too annoying.

I think that that is one of the funniest videos I've ever seen. You should tape her doing a dance and put it on youtube.
